Why Arsenal Got It Right With Emery

It's been an amazing start to the Emery Era at Arsenal, they're winning games, more importantly they're not losing the ones which they are expected to win, the defensive midfielder dilemma for Arsenal seems to be coming to an end with some impressive performance by Lucas Torreira, also there is a lot more clarity about the players' future at the club, But Arsenal's not so good defence continues to be not so good, so in all there are pros and cons both about Emery's Arsenal, but the pros clearly outweigh the cons.

And you also have to admit that after all the criticism Arsenal board faced after deciding to appoint Unai Emery instead of crowd favorite Mikel Arteta, you could say most of those concerns have been proven false, Emery is experienced and One who knows how to get the job done and also someone the Board respects otherwise it wouldn't have been easy to convince Arsenal to release someone like an Aaron Ramsey for Free.

But not all's great at Arsenal, There slow starts and unconvincing first half is still a problem or maybe an intentional strategy to soak in the intensity that the opposition shows early on because, in the match with Liverpool, they looked to be far more assertive because they knew they can't let Liverpool dictate the play even for a minute, they're too good a team to be given any space to breath. But whatever it is, Arsenal still need to do better in first halves as they're still haven't had one match where they're leading at the end of the first half, something which you wouldn't expect from a Champions League Side.

Analyzing the transfer activity taken place at Arsenal during Summer, you have to say in a very difficult market they have done great with there modest transfer budget.
The major loopholes have been filled up, at least most of them, with Leno giving Arsenal surety between the bars and Lucas Torreira is giving Arsenal Fans sights they have been waiting for years, that of a proper Arsenal defensive midfielder putting inch-perfect tackles in opposition's box and winning the ball back. While 19-year-old Mattéo Guendouzi will only get better with time and mind you, he's already good enough to be a first-team Premier league midfielder, so no wonder he looks like another of Sven Mislintat's steals.

In all Arsenal is still not anywhere near challenging for the title, but they're slowly getting back, and we need to patient through the process, because Emery needs time and financial resources, so let's just wish him best of luck and for now let's enjoy Arsenal's unbeaten run which has stretched to 17 games now with the victory over Bournemouth.
