Arsenal news roundup for the day

Emery Expect Two Players In January

Emery Still Hopeful Of January Deals
Arsenal manager Unai Emery admitted that this transfer window is difficult as the club is working on a tight budget with only loan moves sanctioned for this window. Though he also admitted that the club is doing all it can to bring in the players who can help the team. Arsenal have been in the market looking for a winger and a reliable defensive cover for Arsenal’s injury prone back line. Barcelona’s Denis Suarez and Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic are among the various names who are been touted to join the Gunners.

Arsenal Wants Napoli Star

Malcuit Can Be On His Way To Emirates

Arsenal have made an inquiry for Napoli defender Kevin Malcuit, according to reports in Metro.com. Arsenal have been short of their defensive line with injuries to key players in recent weeks. But Unai Emery admitted that it wouldn’t be beneficial for them to buy another centre-back as they already have enough players for the spot and it can cause “troubles” when all of them are available. Though right-back is one position that arsenal doesn’t have enough depth for, Hector Bellerin is already out for the season, Stephen Litchstiener has been unconvincing as a backup leaving Emery with only Ainsley Maitland Niles as the only option and even he isn’t a natural right-back. Thus a move for a right-back in Kevin Malcuit makes sense, and if this move can really happen, then it would be a huge boost for the Gunners.

Jenkinson and Mavropanos in match-day squad against Cardiff City

Mavropanos Have A Chance To Impress

According to Mirror.com, Arsenal have called up Carl Jenkinson and Konstantinos Mavropanos for the match against Cardiff City with injuries to Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Laurent Koscielny seen as the reason behind the call-up. While Carl Jenkinson has been on the fringes for last two years, Mavropanos haven't played in the league yet as he has been held back with injuries thus this comes as a fortunate chance for both of them to impress their manager.

Perisic set to become Arsenal's second highest earner

Perisic Is Wanted At The Emirates
According to a report by The Sun, Arsenal and Inter Milan are set to finalize the Croatian’s transfer move to the Emirates. And the Gunners have agreed to make the world cup hero their second-highest paid player by handing him a lucrative £250,000-a-week deal. Arsenal have been searching for a natural winger since long as they don’t have one in their ranks, and it seems their search has ended with Perisic’s move to North London on a loan move which can be converted into a permanent move for a fee of 35 million.
